A tweet got me thinking.
While in the thick of fellow recruitment for Code for America’s inaugural program, we were reviewing the social traction we were receiving, and one tweet in particular caught my eye: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can code for your country”. The messaging was striking: it blended together patriotism, service, and tech — CfA’s formula — by playing on a piece of American history. This, I figured, was a model we could employ:
